A raindrop slid down Murphy’s wrinkled face, mixing with tears and bringing back memories.
Memories of a grumpy fellow and a laughing lass. Their first date was going so well until it began pouring buckets. The fellow pulled out an umbrella.
She pushed it away screaming like a child. “I love the rain! Come dance with me!” she spun and jumped, dancing in the rain like nobody was watching. He hated the rain, yet he danced.
The rain on Murphy’s skin brought him back to the cemetery. He kept the umbrella closed and watched the droplets above the casket shape into her silhouette… dancing.

Raindance
The warm raindrops fell gently, as they parted their lips in desperate hunger. Worlds collided, spinning amorous tales so quickly that they both saw their future together within seconds.
He, a prize winning chef who filled their lives with laughter and food while she adored him to life’s fullest. Their children were award winning adorable kids.
She, who saw herself working steadily to meet the goals she had set for herself, having a loving and adorable man with no kids.
The first words he spoke broke her illusion of a life together in many small pieces.
“My place or yours?”
Jonny Two Trees had about enough of these weekend cowboys using his ancestral lands as a playground. Today it was an Old West wedding, and he was stuck in headdress manning the crepes station for minimum wage. Looking skyward for salvation he noticed above his workspace a smoke alarm and sprinkler system. Jonny saw right there a way to salvage his day. Filled his frying pan with oil and dropped a match. He joined the Electric Slide with the maid of honor as the smoke wafted upwards. Soon his little rain dance would end this abomination once and for all.
