Our spooktober prompt for today is BLOOD!

One blood, two bodies. Same face, different lives.
One of drugs, debts, and sorrow.
The other is full of wealth, happiness, and respect.
Shared blood wasn't enough. One shaved his face, bought a gun, and met the other in an alley under a rouse.
Blood was spilled, clothes were changed — life was stolen.
I’ve been saving the prompt blood for most of the year to use during spooktober. Most of my ideas were around Vampires duh. But this came to me and I thought the idea that shared blood can mean nothing for some people is intriguing.
When asked if her crazy mother had destroyed Cheryl’s life via nature or nurture Cheryl never hesitated. “Both.” Years of psychotherapy sought to exorcise the toxic maternal behavioral influences but to deal with the poisoned biology Cheryl saw only one option. Root out the evil at its source. Complete transfusion.
“Why drink water when you can drink life?” The vampire asked his television.
He had just seen a commercial for bottled water. It claimed water was a cure-all and that drinking it led to a longer life. The vampire was baffled.
“Why only live longer when you can live forever?”
