PROMPT: NIGHTMARE
THE TRAFFIC
Freddy woke up every weekday, dreading the thought of his morning commute.
He’d be stuck in his car for at least an hour, cursing, and wishing he had a job that was easier to get to.
No matter what time he left home, he’d end up arriving late for work.
Because the traffic was always a nightmare, on Elm Street… 🚗🚙😎🚙🚗
It was the same dark dream every night. An odd little man all in black. Uttering cryptic incantations, some in a dead foreign tongue. The ghastly woman in white. Funereal flowers. A mysterious child bearing a gleaming talisman. The nervous throng of friends and family gathered for the bloodletting. Always it ends the same way. “Do you take this bride?”
