Cage
Trapped in a cage, I was their plaything. My colors served as a decoration in their living room. My ability to mimic their voices became their entertainment. They laughed and jumped around like apes when "fuck" escaped my beak.
Their laughs got real still when I continued. "Fuck-fuck me, Jeff, your wife will never know!"
I cackled, watching them fight. Never a good idea to piss off a lying parrot.
Specter
First dates tied Paul's stomach into a knot. What'll we talk about? What if I embarrass myself? These thoughts raced through Paul's mind as he sat on the cold stone of Julia's gravestone.
He lit the candles and cleared his throat before setting down the Ouija board. With sweating palms, he began his dating process.
Dating as a spectrophile, he was often ghosted. But tonight, for once, felt promising.
Happy April Fools! I hope no harmful pranks has befell upon you, and we can all laugh togeter today after yesterday’s dark prompt. I’m sharing two of my funniest stories I’ve done so far! Both are 70 worders so let’s write 70 words of something fun!
Kenny had his standup routine honed to a tight 12 minutes. Impersonations. Politics. “You ever notice how yada yada yada.” That kind of stuff. His audience would almost wet themselves with glee. And nary a heckler.
“That molar will have to go Mrs. Jepsen, what did I tell you about not flossing,” he said, barely audible over her riotous laughter.
He vowed he’d never go back to using Novocain again.
April 1 Laughter 70 words
She doubled over, laughing. Tears streamed down her flushed cheeks. She was glad she had just come back from the ladies' room. She nearly regained control when she snorted--no light ladylike snort, but a snort like a happy pig in slop. That set her giggling again, which, of course, led to more guffaws.
Soon her friends were chortling, snickering, and hee-hawing. After a minute, restaurant patrons added their own cachinnations.
