One. Two. Three. The train left the station—nobody gets off. And the craving only grew. A liquid devil to which I sold my soul sip by sip, clawed at my stomach from the inside, set my veins on fire.
I need help… the bottle will help… yes, it will help…
When I was once a small baby, I had a soul all my own, which taught me to tell right from wrong.
When I married my sweet love, I gave him part of my soul, so our union would be merry and long.
When my daughter was born, she got a piece, too, and she grew up happy and strong.
If you give out your soul, the parts will still grow, 'til they return back to the heart they belong.

See that crimson horizon? She’s not there,
She’s beneath our feet.

She’s between the sheets and behind shut eyes
And she rustles me alone on nights like these.
She’s not in sky when it howls and weeps
She’s inside.
