Like a vase, our love shattered. No amount of glue could put it back. The shards cut our souls loose. Actions and consequences. Memories tainted.
Mistakes are everything, apologies don’t fix a thing.

MISTAKES (50)
Thinking I could just wing the exam.
Accidentally dyeing my hair green before a college interview.
Persuading myself a tortured artist secretly longed to be a family man (three times).
Blowing the big audition.
Filing a complaint and losing my job.
That second martini afterwards.
Taking it all too seriously.
I knew I addressed all the prompts for the week. Why was I coming up one short? Counting again--and again. Checking word counts. Checking prompt titles. All there. What's wrong here? I must be losing my mind. Check the dates. AHA. I found the mistake. 03-12 written twice. Feeling better.
