Hi! Welcome to another edition of the Batch!
What a wonderful week that started with the Emma Horsedick incident and was a lot of fun throughout the week. Some of you pointed out that my stories are a bit more lighthearted, I think that’s just because the freaking winter is finally over. Which makes me feel alive again!
Let’s write about Oceans for a moment, and then we can dive into today’s Batch!
Our prompt for today is OCEAN
Write a story in 60 words!
To join in on the challenge, leave a comment or restack the story with your own!
With a paid subscription you can choose the next prompt and in turn challenge me to write you a tailored story!
I can’t wait to see Maria. My love. A few more days in these godforsaken waters, and I will finally be back home with solid ground under my feet.
Some storms are brewing, but we will push through. We always do…
The page sank into the depths. With its author and his ship following soon after it.

If I knew there’d been a thing as ocean … well, I would have gone younger.
Nobody swore there was only desert. But the absent talk of blue endless and wild lagoon implied its non-existence.
Now that I’ve seen it, I can’t forget the feeling to bathe my wounds there.
Now my soul is cooled. And I flirt with waves.
The steady thrum of the ocean's waves lulled him into a sense of relaxation as he sat on the deck of his beach house. No stress, no competition, no overdrawn deadlines. Just him and the way that he viewed life. Relaxing views, a whiff of fresh ocean air, calm, cool nights. This was exactly how life was supposed to be.
