The Batch of Micro-Spooks! #1
The special edition batch of spooky micro-fictions from all around Substack!
Welcome to the special edition of the Batch! I’ve just got home from my Scotland trip, and it was awesome. More on that in the future posts.
Before we get into recaping the week, I wanted to thank you for commenting on each others posts, sharing them and interacting in the comments. It really fills me with a lot of pride that this little project of mine is truly forming into a community of writers. I don’t want to name individuals because I would 100% forget someone and never forgive myself afterwards.
The first week of Spooktober was a banger! Great stories. Great prompts. Great people!
The regulars here know, that I don’t write stories in the batches anymore, since they’re supposed to highlight the community rather than me. However, a lot of people are doing their best to keep up with every single prompt, and it would be a shame to end their streak.
So for all October, every post will have it’s prompt, even if it’s going to be a non-fiction update!
Let’s kick it of with a story about Haunting. 👻
Also buckle up, this will be a long one.
Today on Microdosing our Spooktober prompt is HAUNTING!
🎃Write a story in 50 words!🎃
Don’t forget to tag me if you follow along with the challenge!

The house grew dark. The kids were in bed, and the Jeffersons put on the Haunting of Hill House. I watched with them for a while; pretty funny show.
When they finally went to sleep. I stretched my ghastly limbs. Another night shift of creaking floors shattered mugs, and smashing doors began.
Sort of like the Haunting of Jefferson House.

THE PLANET
"Ghosts?" Admiral Kammond asked, puzzled. "Is that what you heard?"
"Voices, sir," replied Sgt. Aluud, "and we heard them all over the planet."
"And you corroborated this?"
"No doubt, sir."
Aluud gazed through the panoptic window of the base when the words calmly formed in his mind, 'I am with you.'
"Sir...I think this planet's alive!"
Thank you for including me!!!! I’m having fun with these prompts! And especially during the spooky season
