The special edition batch of spooky micro-fictions from all around Substack!
Welcome to the special edition of the Batch! Welcome to the last spooktober Batch! Thank you everyone for joining in. This has been a lot of fun! In the last days of October we will have a couple more spooky prompts, and then the regular stuff comes on the menu once again :)
Today on Microdosing our Spooktober prompt is POLTERGEIST!
🎃Write a story in 50 words!🎃
Don’t forget to tag me if you follow along with the challenge!
I shattered the mug I gave you, made my office floors creaking, and played the drums in the garage. I did so much to get your attention, but you just fled away frightened.
I’m sorry I scared you. I just wanted to say the final goodbye, my love.

POLTERGEIST
Of course I don’t believe in poltergeists. Ghost stories are for children at Halloween.
But I also don’t believe a book just flying off the shelves and landing at my feet. His favorite noir: Raymond Chandler’s “The Big Sleep.”
Was it him? Does that mean he’s not asleep at all?
The best part of this challenge is to read the other writer’s stories. It’s so interesting to read inside other people’s minds!! 🙂
