Hey everyone!
It’s good to be back with another edition of the RECAP! I hope y’all are enjoying a nice weekend.
We are having a GIANT recap today. So if this email doesn’t show well read it in the substack app/or their website.
Recap is on break next week, as I’m going to be away from home over the next weekend and won’t be able to put it together.
Microdosing — 70mg of a Monster
Today on Microdosing our prompt is MONSTER!
Write a story in 70 words!
Don’t forget to tag me if you follow along with the challenge!
The blood-chilling scream woke me up. I sprinted to the kid's room, sighing with relief when I saw their faces. They are okay, just nightmares and monsters again.
I looked into the closet, checked under the bed, and hugged them. "See? Everything is fine; there is nothing here."
The kids swallowed and pointed to the ceiling. Just as a blob of green goo dropped on my shoulder.
The Contributions
Let’s look at the amazing micro stories from the fiction pushers of the last week!
If you are not included, don’t get discouraged. It’s just impossible for me to see and include all of you :)
If you want me to see your take for sure, drop it in our weekly chat! It opens every Thursday and I go through all contributions shared there!
This week I did a good job of gathering your stories! And I collected A LOT of contributions. So I’m going to do it a bit different and split them by the prompt! And some special shout-outs!
Special shout-outs
I want to do a special shout-out to
who did about all of the prompts and put them together here. It’s her 52nd post and there is 52 cards in a deck of card and I used to be a magician, which doesn’t mean anything but I think it’s funny.Second I wanted to shout-out
who as far as I know, holds the longest streak of Microdosing contributions. Thank you Jack! And last but not least is

Monster
A majestic old tree stood rooted in a pristine field, in a gap, a rock wall nearby. Quite famous, they say the most photographed tree in England. A muse for poets. With a big movie role, it became known as the “Robin Hood Tree”. The tree loved the friends and admirers it made in its long life. That first cut was the deepest. How could someone be such a monster?
MONSTER
Monsters exist for some. Visceral. Violent. Voracious. Cade's life hasn't been easy. It was out of sync. He struggled finding balance. He juggled the good, the difficult. Relationships weren't easy. Weird-eyed monsters appeared relentlessly. Emotional crises popped up, or the bottom of his existence dropped out. Despite these very human occurrences and challenging episodes, monsters painfully invaded his world, his psyche incessantly in desperate, excruciating, monstrous jackhammer jarring jolts.
