A majestic old tree stood rooted in a pristine field, in a gap, a rock wall nearby. Quite famous, they say the most photographed tree in England. A muse for poets. With a big movie role, it became known as the “Robin Hood Tree”. The tree loved the friends and admirers it made in its long life. That first cut was the deepest. How could someone be such a monster?
Monsters exist for some. Visceral. Violent. Voracious. Cade's life hasn't been easy. It was out of sync. He struggled finding balance. He juggled the good, the difficult. Relationships weren't easy. Weird-eyed monsters appeared relentlessly. Emotional crises popped up, or the bottom of his existence dropped out. Despite these very human occurrences and challenging episodes, monsters painfully invaded his world, his psyche incessantly in desperate, excruciating, monstrous jackhammer jarring jolts.
This is a great recap! Thanks for doing the microdoses! It’s been ages since I’ve had a go at creative writing and this is the perfect way to ease back into it. 💚

All we could do was watch.
Once the rampage started, there was nothing we could do to stop it.

And we had created a monster… 😎
