Hey everyone!
This Recap is coming out a day later, because life is lifing and I failed to put it together yesterday.
I’ve also been way less active on Substack this week, so I’ve likely not reacted to your contribution or tag - Sorry for that. I tried to go through all of them today when putting it together, but there was quite a lot (which I’m extremely grateful for!)
So if you read this and didn’t get an answer or reaction from me — Thank you for joining in!
Microdosing — 50mg of Sand
Today on Microdosing our prompt is SAND!
Write a story in 50 words!
Don’t forget to tag me if you follow along with the challenge!
Fists buried deep in the fiery desert, sun blistering his bald head, throat as dry as the sand flowing through his fingers. The mirage on the horizon promised false safety.
Lost and alone, he gave up, and without hope, the sand of life in his hourglass soon stopped flowing.
The Contributions

PROMPT: SAND
THE SAND
Usually, she loved to feel the sand beneath her feet and between her toes.
It was comforting and cosy. Soft and warm.
But not this time.
Her egg timer had smashed on the kitchen floor, spilling its contents everywhere.
And it was going to be a pain to clean up… 😎
SAND (prompt) — Don’t flail around in the quicksand of mediocrity. You know better. That type of sand will suck the life out of you with its ghastly grit and its grossly grainy quagmire of new doubt. “Don’t settle, Bosco! Don’t do it! Buck up! “Fight those demons,” demanded Levi. “Fight’em with everything!”
