I waffled on posting it, but figured if it was for am instructional YouTube I wouldn't have known about it. And good writing can definitely educate while it horrifies.
I get that. I have so many stories here I would like to dive deeper in haha. Now, this might sound super salesy, but I'm playing with this idea of doing an online writing group with the people from our community, and you just threw me a great opportunity to ask: Do you think a writing group of this caliber could help you not get distracted?
maybe... i am in a small writing club but to be honest I am giving more in depth feedback and engagement than the tutor, in my humble opinion. also most of the class are writing much more.... hmmm... homely type stories and anecdotes and the monthly zoom session is like a cosy chat and no teaching at all. they are lovely but they all seem more like my grandma... so Im.going to give it up. i did find that the dark tidings thing was super focussing and engaging as are edith bows stream of consciousness sessions out of which my most horrible dark but "pure visual" writing has emerged mwoohaha
so yes... id be interested in any sort of workshop kinda thing you might think about. i dont have time to run something but i do have time to participate 😎
A faint glow was the first thing I noticed when I woke. I blinked, uncertain if a dream was bleeding into reality, but it remained. A strip of white along the closet door’s bottom.
He awoke in hazy darkness, lit only by the static glow of the TV. How long had he been asleep? He had nobody to wake him now, nobody to tell him it was really time he headed to bed. Margie had always done that, but now--
What had woken him up? The answer was just out of reach, like a half-remembered dream.
"Hel--"
A cold hand clapped over his mouth. He thought he caught a faint whiff of her perfume.
It’s not quite 50 words but you get my drift and anyway, I like to leave something to my reader’s imagination so she feels part of the story a sort of ‘read-and-write-as-you-glow’ literary style.
Step 7. Press and hold both temples for three seconds until left iris glows blue.
Step 8. Verbally name your AndyFuturo™ Synthetic, then wait until left iris glows green. If both iris’s turn red, repeat steps 5-7, or contact a service representative.
Metta hated flying - a crying baby always kept her awake. Hissing burned through her ears like napalm. Metta glanced out of the window and saw red, blue, and green glowing orbs. A green tsunami swirled in her gut. A cacophony of screams resounded through the cabin as the plane nose-dived.
If I can prevent it, I never step foot in the spare room. My mom keeps the door open to prevent it from being stuffy, but I close the door every chance I get. Somehow, at night, the door pops open and all I can see is a terrifying glow.
It was such a pretty blue glow. They found it in a junkyard and thought they could make some money.
Some added it to jewelry. Kids played in it like sand. It was magical.
Beauty can be deadly. When they were sharing the blue glowing sand, they were sharing death.

Damn Scott that's a heavy one. Didn't hear of that accident but that's awful, thank you for teaching me something new!

mmmm. deep waters there Miguel
I felt poetic with this one haha
It spoke to the symbiont inside itself, in their unique silent language.
“Essence,” was the manifestation of its understanding.
“Feed, then” was the hosts reply.
The human regarded it suspiciously. It didn’t look quite right.
Then its eyes started glowing but, startled, he was too slow to escape the tendrils
Creepy. Are we going with Spider-man symbionts?
hehe... no its the creatures from "you're never alone" one of my early shorts on here. i keep meaning to do more chapters but get distracted.

PROMPT: GLOW
THE GLOW
As soon as it got dark, we all began to gather.
Forming a circle, as it flickered between us, lighting up the night.
Soon, more joined us.
Some finding room to sit, and others just hovering.
Basking in its warm glow.
Until, someone switched it off.
And we all scattered… 💡😎💡
Thank you, Alexander for the like!
A faint glow was the first thing I noticed when I woke. I blinked, uncertain if a dream was bleeding into reality, but it remained. A strip of white along the closet door’s bottom.
But there was no light inside the closet.
Something shuffled.
Blocked the light.
Turned the knob.

In the form of a haiku (serial)
Silent in the dark,
His glow spills across the waves—
A promise of calm.
Through the aching storm,
A fire blooms against the tide,
Steady, calling me.
The horizon hums,
Golden threads weave through the sea—
His light draws me near.
I reach softened shores,
To the warmth within his arms,
The world fades away.
awesome skills there. very very lovely
Thank you so so much! 🌸
Glow - 50 words
I glow
you glow
he/she/it glows
wither thou glowest

(49. To save you having to count.)
Feeling dark. Might have to share it. Great prompt, Miguel!
Tayo’s lifeless body no longer offered warmth, but I held close.
The search party will find me tomorrow. I know it.
Through the infinite black of forest, rustling and a loud crack sounded westward. Two glowing eyes appeared.
Now, four.
Eight.
Northward, southward—too many to count.
Thanks for joining in Alexander!
Thank you for making it happen!
Microdosing Fiction - 50mg of a GLOW
===
He poked the rubbles gently with a stick.
“Dexter, here…”
His buddy approached him but stopped suddenly.
A green glow came through the pile, and he saw a child looking back at him.
They recovered him alive, still holding his glowing toy.
“Good job.” He ruffled his buddy’s furry head.
Good dog! 🐶 I like this one.
Everyone could use a furry good friend :)

GLOW (50)
I walked into my new apartment and burst into tears. What to do?
Step one: paint the walls in White Dove (matte finish).
Step two: matching lamps with incandescent bulbs, for that soft glow.
Step three: Instagram. Before and After.
Within a year, I became a full-time influencer.
