Under the shining moon, shoes drenched in mud, Diana felt proud. She finally got to do it; she made the change.
With her hands dirty and her shovel sunk deep into the dirt, she exhaled, preparing for a new chapter of her life as a single lady.

Welcome to the Brick of Fiction. A post with compact story. In today’s Brick the prompt is: Write a story about a world where people invented a way to record and share dreams with each other. And I challenge YOU to write your own story in 300-1000 words.
The nurse’s bright greeting caught in her throat when she saw the woman slumped sideways against her pillow. The book was still opened in her lap, her eyes still fixed on its pages. Gently she removed it from her grip. Closing it hurt, knowing the woman had saved it. Four pages left in the final chapter, hers had ended first.
Like it or not, we have been unexpectantly thrust into a new chapter in politics.
Last night’s announcement affects our election, forcing people to adapt.
Like in 1968, when Bobby Kennedy was killed.
We all had to stop and reflect on the effect this would have on the upcoming election.
Nixon’s election sent thousands to Vietnam who couldn’t yet vote.
