“He’s awake!” doctors crowded around the patient”

“Where am I?”

“No time to explain. You’ve been asleep for 20 years,” a doctor said urgently. “Quick, he needs a Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat, and Threads account!”

The patient fainted.

“You overwhelmed him!” A nurse screamed.

“Impossible, Threads never overwhelmed anybody!”

THE BATTLE

The enemy was coming from all sides, in wave after wave.

He couldn't hold them off much longer.

He reloaded his weapon and got ready to make one last, futile stand.

He knew it would be in vain.

And then he turned off his games console and went to bed... 😎

I am overwhelmed. This is as far as I go.

People are saying to me that it will be ok but I have trouble believing them. Nothing will ever be ok again.

Clever one Miguel. I have been dropping personal experiences lately and this one will be no different. Here is my take

Prompt: Overwhelming

It is never a pleasant topic to discuss and yet here I am unashamed and embarrassed. I just had to be adventurous with my savoring delight.

Now here I sit in utter disgusting pain as I caught a bug that left quite the mark whenever I do a bathroom drop!

The news every day is overwhelming repetitions in- between ailments prescribed, substitute words: restless legs syndrome; blown away drones—bomb-blast messages dealt by shuffled sentry nightmare remedies— cut the decks, high-rises with explosive thigh masters exercises to strengthen sorrows-tears sown in graves with a caveat in fine print.

Her world had turned overwhelmingly dark. The murder of her love banged about her head, clanging with loud, painful disbelief. Jarring grief and sadness strangled Jen. Any desire to live died when Michael was pronounced dead in the cold, eerie ER. An overwhelming weight wrought havoc, dismantling her hopeful future.
