Hi! Welcome to another edition of the Batch!
Another week full of great stories is behind us. I reached into the archives to balance some of the darkness/melancholy that crept through my stories through the week!
Let’s write about Clowns and then let’s look at some of you talented folks ❤️
Our prompt for today is Clown
Write a story in 60 words!
To join in on the challenge, leave a comment or restack the story with your own!
With a paid subscription you can choose the next prompt and in turn challenge me to write you a tailored story!
Chuck held the curly wig and the big red nose, tears creating rivers in the deep white makeup on his face.
He kicked his giant shoes off, sending them flying into the corner. Another gig had been canceled, and the rent was due soon.
Ever since that thing appeared in the sewers. Nobody wanted to hire a clown anymore.
Lazy Day
Hurt
Nocturnal
Immortal
Insatiable
Thank you all for joining in on this adventure!
Have a great rest of the weekend!

60 clown smiles
Clarabelle, the clown, white face, red, curly hair, and smiling lips, never spoke; honked a horn to agree or disagree. Howdy Doody show freckle face puppet dangled; strung you along. Buffalo Bob kept the show in line. Eyes glued 2 feet away from black/white TV screen. Cowboys/Indians, BuckRogers, sci-fi, good versus bad. Fifties Saturday morning, entertainment.
PROMPT: CLOWN
THE CLOWNS
There were ten clowns standing by the side of the road, waving for help.
They said their van had broken down and they desperately needed to get to the circus.
I told them I’d love to help, but there was no way I was going to fit ten clowns in my tiny car.
Or at least, I thought there wasn’t… 🤡😎🤡
