I'm curious what that they found in the sewer. For some reason, I immediately thought of "It". Never seen the movie, but I've seen that fucking clown. O_O

I swear, every time I see you have a character crying, I get anxiety because of that one story you wrote that wrecked me. I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN!

60mg of CLOWN:

None of us liked her. We thought she was old and mean.

Meanwhile, we loved the class clown. Even so young, he was all charisma, and we wanted his approval.

He farted in our teacher’s face one day. She was disgusted but we all laughed and this enraged her further.

We were the mean ones, not her. Sorry, Miss W______.

Awwww, poor Chuck! I genuinely hope he finds some happiness (and stability!). Clowns seem to be the very epitome of covering up their sadness.

Thanks for the shout-out! Here's my contribution for today:

Pay Attention

Pay attention, Dad. Damien’s the funny one. The class clown. He even makes the teachers laugh. Anyway, Damien was late to homeroom again, and he had these crazy bruises all over his neck. I asked who he lost a fight to, but he said he gave himself giant hickeys with a vacuum. Isn’t that a total scream? Dad? What’s wrong?

"It's a clown parrot. I thought it might cheer her up."

They watched their daughter happily giggle as it gamboled.

Del smiled. "I guess it can stay."

"How about me?" Joe asked hopefully.

"You're sillier than the bird." But she tossed him a blanket.

As he lay on the couch, Joe grinned at his rekindling friendship with his ex-wife.

Thank you for another amazing week of Flash Fiction prompts!

Jacob took off his nose and removed his overly large shoes. He looked in the mirror and removed his teardrop eyes and then the rest of his makeup. While age played a factor in his retirement, the look of terror in his Great Granddaughter’s eyes made him recognize that his time was up. He would always be a clown inside.

60 clown smiles

Clarabelle, the clown, white face, red, curly hair, and smiling lips, never spoke; honked a horn to agree or disagree. Howdy Doody show freckle face puppet dangled; strung you along. Buffalo Bob kept the show in line. Eyes glued 2 feet away from black/white TV screen. Cowboys/Indians, BuckRogers, sci-fi, good versus bad. Fifties Saturday morning, entertainment.

PROMPT: CLOWN

THE CLOWNS

There were ten clowns standing by the side of the road, waving for help.

They said their van had broken down and they desperately needed to get to the circus.

I told them I’d love to help, but there was no way I was going to fit ten clowns in my tiny car.

Or at least, I thought there wasn’t… 🤡😎🤡
