Hey there!
Welcome to another edition of the Batch! This week was special for a couple of different reasons:
A record amount of people joined in this week’s prompts. (33 are in this post, I think there were some more but I just can’t find their notes)
3 out of 6 of this week’s microdoses are in my top 5 posts (4 of them are in top 10)
During the week I’ve received a printed sample of a microdosing collection that I’m trying to put together. But I will talk about that more in August’s Into the Lab.
With
being a regular by now, and joining in this week. We’re halfway there to catch the currently active MM crew! (If I beg enough will you join us in the future ladies? )
Microdosing — 60mg of a Clown
Today on Microdosing our prompt is CLOWN!
Write a story in 60 words!
Don’t forget to tag me if you follow along with the challenge!
Chuck held the curly wig and the big red nose, tears creating rivers in the deep white makeup on his face.
He kicked his giant shoes off, sending them flying into the corner. Another gig had been canceled, and the rent was due soon.
But ever since that thing appeared in the sewers. Nobody wanted to hire a clown anymore.
Special Shout-out!
I wanted to give today’s highlight to
. CB is microdosing fiction to stay in touch with the world she wrote her novel in. She is using the micro-stories to stay in touch with her characters and to expand on the world. I think that’s something that could be super helpful for some of you. If you feel stuck on the longer project, writing micros from that world might be the cure :) I’ll also probably talk about this more in the Into The Lab post!Draft

PROMPT: CLOWN
THE CLOWNS
There were ten clowns standing by the side of the road, waving for help.
They said their van had broken down and they desperately needed to get to the circus.
I told them I’d love to help, but there was no way I was going to fit ten clowns in my tiny car.
Or at least, I thought there wasn’t… 😎
I love this microfiction so much. It’s really helping me grow as a writer and is even starting to inspire my painting and drawing. Thank you for Everything, Miguel!
