PROMPT: FOREVER

THE TWO OF US

We were going to be together forever.

For life.

The thought of that was a lot to take in.

From now on, we’d be seeing each other every morning and every night. We’d be sharing meals and we’d be sharing secrets.

There was a real chance we’d never be apart again.

Unless they moved one of us to another cell… 😎

As his mind raced, considering every possible outcome that awaited him, it felt like forever. Perhaps he would end up suspended between the possible and the probable, a Schrodinger’s cat in a barrel.

The barrel was the first to go, shattering into a thousand pieces, followed microseconds later by his body, becoming a sausage in human form.

In the ancient kingdom of Eldoria, a mysterious artifact was said to grant eternal life to its wielder.

War loomed, and a brave warrior sought the artifact to protect his people.

His wandering took him to a sorcerer who told him, “Immortality’s secret is not in endless days but in the legacy of courage and sacrifice passed down through generations.”

I keep doing this! I haven't thought it through enough to build the world around it, though. Hmmm. Maybe, I can continue it as a series.

We will be known forever by the tracks we leave in this tragic time of the white man’s evil.

My 60 words ~ Forever

After what seemed like forever, Frankie finally asked her. Julie had waited so long for this. Her reply was just as much a shock to her as it was to Frankie--“I don’t know.” On her way home she stopped to pick a daisy. One by one the petals fell. He loves me, he loves me not, over and over.

In mathematics the notion of forever is known as infinity, and we study its aspects and consequences.

There are infinitely many counting numbers, but there are more real numbers, a larger infinity!

In fact, there are an infinite number of infinities each one larger than its predecessor.

That, my friends, is a lot of space for my mind to wander.

My mind got infinitely bamboozled by this. I sucked at maths.

My 60 words Story. Prompt- Forever:

Maria wakes up in a bed in the hospital ward where she works. Next to her, Pedro sits, almost sunk, in a black leather armchair. The big, strong hand that pulled her out of the water is now stroking Maria's hair, as if trying to calm her thoughts, erase all the time that has passed, wipe it off the calendar.
