When his voice raises and my mother begins to cry, it’s my cue to disappear. A grungy blast of Nirvana and I’m not on this lumpy bed while the walls shake; I’m in Reading, I’m on Pier 48 and the rhythm overflows me. I’m glistening with sweat, joyful and safe.
“Do you want to come again?” he asks, his cock still hard inside her.
She sighs, “I have to go.”
He understands.
They untwine. She leaves him on the Tahitian beach and is back in Boston in time for her daughter’s recital. Courtesy of Tiki’s Teleportation Hut. Mother’s little helper.

By the time Byron returned from his grand tour - a rite of passage nowadays, and far quicker than the likes of his namesake a millennium earlier - taking in a hundred favourite destinations, he wasn't the same guy anymore.
Folks could tell just by gawping at him.
All those mementos, fused like that, to take with him for the rest of his days, where’er he roamed.
There was a fly, another fly, another fly, an ant, an anteater, a bear (it’s Byron, remember), a duck-billed platypus, another fly... and finally, from Woolloomooloo, Sidney, Australia, a boomerang.
Teleportations for world travel have advanced so quickly that the accidents recorded should send everything associated with it back to the drawing board. The arrogance of proponents is deafening. The efforts of the teleportation nerds has jeopardized the entire program. Yet, Gil Axel keeps himself focused and knows he was about to succeed.
Another great batch, thanks to all of you for sharing your imaginations and talents! Miguel, your teleportation story has a great twist to it, I love it.
I think I agree with Chris, the short micros are perfect for a few minutes of imaginary escape and creativity during the course of the week, but the longer prompts are fun, too - it's just difficult for me to steal away enough "free" time for the longer pieces. Maybe once a month or something? I don't know. It's your Substack space and I'm grateful to you for sharing it with us, so whatever you decide is cool. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Another wonderful week there, full of some highly creative contributions. Well done everyone! The word counts are an interesting one. Sometimes I can make the longer things work, but I probably would say I prefer the shorter ones. I think it's good to have the option of exploring different lengths, though, as it's all great exercise... 😎
Granddad's traveling days were over, so I popped the Tembe Elephant Sanctuary live stream onto the screen.
He sighed with contentment. "I sure do love these new-fangled teleportation devices," he murmured, settling in for a good visit with his animal friends.
PROMPT: TELEPORTATION
THE TELEPORTATION
It’d taken quite a while to get everything prepared, and to find the necessary parts, but finally, he was ready.
He made a couple of last-minute adjustments to the wiring, and then got ready to teleport everyone back to the past.
He pushed a button.
And the jukebox started playing… 🎶😎🎶

“So expensive?!” The treasurer screamed.
Kevin shrugged. ‘The techies always mess up my landing spot. Can’t sprint anymore.’
“Why?”
‘I have plantar. Besides, I enjoy arriving in style.’
“You, the god of death, will be the death of us. It costs too much energy to teleport you and your motorbike!”
Thank you Miguel for the mention and another fun batch, as always. Also, I still can't stop with this Kevin character......

I'm good with both long and short stories. Mixing it up makes us more creative.
50mg ------ Teleportation

Miranda, a witch of goodness, whispered her wish to the moon every night.
The world around her shimmered, and suddenly she teleported to a quiet seaside village.
There, Normand waited—gentle, smiling.
They fell in love at first sight.
When the nighttime faded, so did the magic.
Miranda returned home.
That's a lovely little pitch that one. Reminds me of Dion Fortune's The Sea Priestess.
Here's my take on Teleportation! Great prompt, thank you, Miguel! https://open.substack.com/pub/rostislava/p/nineteen-minutes?r=zcxsb&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
I like the idea of the occasional longer and different one (character, setting, whatever). Maybe once every two weeks/one month perhaps?

He did come back, after all.
I’m all for getting carried away by fun 😁
Thanks for the shout-out! I just so happen to have posted a new short story on my stack. https://open.substack.com/pub/littletoyboat/p/everythings-ephemeral?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=2jxio
This was a great week Miguel. Thanks to everyone for their great contributions, and thank you Miguel for including my story.
50mg of Teleportation.
When the teleportation machine was invented the world as we knew it was gone.
Our teleportation to the past to stop all man-made disasters made us prosperous and robust.
But we never anticipated that the loss of our past would mean the loss of all we learned from it.
Thank you for the mention!
Teleportation: 50 words
“George,” inquired Mona in a skeptical voice, “did you purchase a sarcophagus?”
“A what?” replied George.
“I thought not,” stated Mona as the sarcophagus opened slowly.
Mona gasped as arms reached out pulling her into the sarcophagus.
Blinding sun. Sand. Searing desert heat. Mona knew she wasn’t in Kansas anymore.
